Mentor Program

BASI Pilates Legacy Program – Mentor is for seasoned professionals who want to hone their teaching skills and study at the highest levels.

The initial phase of the Legacy Program is a three-day, intensive experience that delves into the most advanced aspects of the Pilates Method. Led by the seasoned BASI Faculty with years of experience, students embark on a journey of discovery and personal growth, gaining access to the latest techniques and insights in the field.

With a focus on hands-on learning and individualized instruction, this program offers a unique opportunity to deepen one’s understanding and mastery of the Pilates Method.

A 18 hours Course

This course includes 18 hours of instruction and learning and is approved by the NCPC for 18 CECs.

Module 1

Day 1

Primary concepts covered include teaching methodology, the art of cueing, cueing as a process, as well as a discussion on higher principles. New repertoire will be taught on the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, and Step Barrel.

Module 2

Day 2

Concepts covered include exercise progression and programming, the Block System, programming for different populations, program progression, and selecting the appropriate level for clients. New repertoire will be introduced on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, and Cadillac.

Module 3

Day 3

Concepts covered are exercise analysis through movement, muscle testing, movement observation and analysis, and advanced-level work as a goal. Implementation of these concepts will be discussed. More new repertoire will be introduced on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, Step Barrel, and Ladder Barrel.
